Ask your students to bring in their favourite poem, quote, or song lyrics to share with the class! This can also be a poem/quote/song of their own creation.

Discuss the story behind the poem (where and at what point in their life did they first hear it/write it? Why is it important to them? etc…). Consider inviting musically-inclined students to bring in instruments and accompany those reading their poems!

Remember to take a picture and upload to “Literacy Week” channel in the Staff Team for a chance to win prizes!
